In the early 1970's Northampton District held one of the greatest Scouting Exhibitions of all times in the town. John Shrewsbury (ADC Scouts) co-ordinated every detail. These events were held in 1974, 1975 and the last in 1980. The best description is taken from the Scouting Annual 1976.

Part of the badge and trophy display was to show all the Group's neckers and where the Group met. This was to show the public where their nearest Group was.	Another part of the display housed all District trophies
